Feminism and Science

Cherchez La Femme is a truly wonderful monthly discussion group hosted by the awesome Karen Pickering. Each event is based around an event “Feminism and…” While all the ones I have been to have been great, the Feminism and Science event in August was brilliant beyond words. When I discovered Karen was going with this theme I was about to suggest she get Krystal Evans, Rachel Webster and Emma Burrows, only to discover that is exactly who she had. I just wish each of them had as much time as there was for all of them combined.

So it is with great pleasure that I discovered that a recording is now on the website. So what are you doing reading me – go listen.

About Stephen Luntz

I am a science journalist, specialising in Australian and New Zealand research across all fields of science. My book, Forensics, Fossils and Fruitbats: A Field Guide to Australian Scientists is out now through CSIRO Publishing. I am also a professional returning officer for non-government organisations. I'm very politically active, but generally try to restrict this blog to scientific matters.
